Therapist

Compassion. Connection. Curiosity. Care. These principles shape the therapeutic relationship we build together. Here, you can bring your whole self—your questions, contradictions, emotions, and lived experiences. Expect authentic conversations, genuine connection, moments of humor, and room to explore without judgment. Your experiences have shaped you, but no single experience defines who you are or who you may become.

‍
Our work is relational, somatic, trauma-informed, and decolonial, informed by the Adaptive Information Processing model, Buddhist psychology, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Emotion-Focused
Therapy, psychodynamic theory, and attachment theory. We recognize how culture, history, and systems of power influence your experiences. Rooted in the African philosophy of Ubuntu, this approach honors healing as communal and spiritual, grounded in our shared humanity.

‍
You are invited to challenge patterns that no longer serve you and question beliefs inherited from family, culture, and systems of oppression. You set the pace. My role is to support your exploration, offer perspective, and help you discover what feels meaningful to you.

‍
I work with adults and couples navigating complex trauma, racial trauma, intergenerational trauma, grief and loss, attachment wounds, persistent emotional triggers, and disruptive relational patterns. I welcome clients drawn to self-exploration, contemplative practices, and embodied healing. This includes those interested in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which I incorporate through training and supervised practice.

‍
I am passionate about supporting BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities. My background in registered nursing and public health informs my commitment to supporting Black women navigating
the intersection of chronic stress, mental health, and autoimmune, cardiovascular, metabolic, or reproductive conditions.

‍
I hold an MSW from Howard University and a BSN from Trinity Washington University. I am a Certified Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Facilitator (TCTSY-F) and am completing
EMDRIA-approved EMDR Basic Training through EMDR Institute, Inc. I believe in your intrinsic ability to heal, and I would be honored to support you on that journey.
