I am a licensed clinical social worker bilingual in Spanish. I enjoy working with adults struggling with internal conflicts that oftentimes manifest as symptoms of anxiety, depression and reactions to trauma.
I believe our human connections are paramount to our emotional well-being; and place strong emphasis on our therapeutic alliance. Our work is collaborative. We work through barriers that may be hindering your innate ability to grow and heal. We embark on this journey together with the aim of gaining new insights and perspectives to support your growth process.
My psychotherapy training includes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR), which allows us to explore your past, present and future. We safely take a journey through your life and revisit significant life events that may be contributing to your internal struggles. In sessions, I utilize a respectful curiosity, positive regard and non-verbal attunement. My theoretical approach also stresses attention to our mind and body and a non-judgmental acknowledgement of the present moment.
I hold a master’s degree with a specialization in behavioral health from the University of Maryland School of Social Work.
