I am a Professional School Counselor, who serves at a prestigious Arts institution in Washington DC, managing 9-12 grades cohorts as a full-time operating counselor, supporting social-emotional development and academic excellence.
I earned a Master’s Degree in Counseling at The John Hopkins University all while recently pursuing my LCPC. I currently live in Clarksburg, MD with my wife and children.
My core interests are working with adolescents, couples and more specifically individuals who are impacted by Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) trauma. Additionally, in an effort to address themes surrounding anxiety, stress, self-esteem, organizational, relationship issues and loneliness from a psychoeducational perspective, I use theories such as Gestalt Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy and Existential Therapy to counter a myriad of presenting symptoms.
My hobbies are reading, writing poetry, attending sporting events, exercising, cooking, and spending time with my family. I am also a proud member of the American Counseling Association and American School Counseling Association.
