I am a licensed social worker who aims to show up for my clients, wherever and however they are. As a therapist, one of the most important aspects of therapeutic work is making sure the space in which growth happens is safe. I work to create a judgment free zone, where there is room to feel seen and heard in a world that often overlooks many. I have a fluid style where I incorporate a multitude of therapeutic techniques that include a strengths based approach, mindfulness, and multicultural counseling in order to create a therapeutic foundation where clients can unpack problems, process root issues, explore their inner emotions, and build their sense of self.
I specialize in offering therapy to adolescents and young adults, individuals of color, and queer (LGBTQIA+) clients of all ages. While these are my specialties, I do see clients of other demographics. The clients I often see have concerns around depression, navigating life changing transitions, different anxieties, types of grief, gender and queer identity acceptance, and racial trauma.
I possess both a bachelors and masters degree in social work. I am a graduate of The Catholic University’s School of Social Work where I earned my MSW with a clinical concentration.
While providing therapeutic services full time, I am in the process of getting a certification in trauma-informed care and counseling from the University of Buffalo School of Social Work.
I often say that you should hold yourself with the standard of grace and not perfection. The act of seeking out therapy is the act of showing yourself grace.
